FAQ

How do you pick which courses to review?

We focus on courses that are popular, highly rated on their home platform, or frequently recommended by working AI practitioners. If a course keeps coming up in discussions about getting into AI, we evaluate it.

Do you accept payment for rankings?

No. Courses cannot buy their way into our ranked lists. Some of our links are affiliate links, but affiliate status does not influence ranking order. See our editorial guidelines.

How often are rankings updated?

At least every six months, and more often for fast-moving topics like LLMs and prompt engineering. Each article shows a "Last updated" date at the top.

Are the certificates from these courses worth anything?

It depends. Accredited university certificates (Harvard, Stanford, Vanderbilt, etc.) carry genuine weight with hiring managers. Completion certificates from marketplace platforms are weaker signals on their own — but combined with a portfolio of real projects, they're useful.

What if I can't afford a paid course?

Start with our Best Free AI Courses roundup. Courses like Elements of AI, fast.ai, CS50 AI, and Anthropic's prompt engineering tutorial are genuinely free and genuinely excellent.

How do I suggest a course for review?

Email editor@aicourserater.com with the course name, platform, and why you think it belongs in our lists.

Can I reprint your articles?

Short quotes with attribution are fine. For longer reprints or syndication, email editor@aicourserater.com.
